This McCain’s ad is specifically targeted to the new center-left median voter (maybe some disgruntled Hillary voters, why not?) and was available on the web only and not on tv in the South, in order not to irritate the GOP base.

The Dems replied almost immediately. The effect is weird, to say the least:
