                   Per tutti quelli che “gli hedge fund sono il Male Assoluto”, potrà essere utile osservarne i dati di performance, [come riportati](https://www.hedgefundresearch.com/hfrx_reg/index.php?fuse=login_bd) dalla società specializzata HFR. Da inizio anno, l’indice generale è in rosso per poco più del 2 per cento. Poco da sorridere anche sugli indici disaggregati: i *Market Directional* perdono oltre il 4 per cento, i *Fundamental Value* quasi il 10 per cento. I fondi Macro, quelli che scommettono su evoluzioni macroeconomiche di grandi aree, perdono da inizio anno circa un punto e mezzo percentuale. Il tutto a fronte di andamenti degli indici tradizionali dei mercati sviluppati che mostrano anche numeri positivi. L’indice S&P 500, ad esempio, da inizio anno guadagna il 7,5 per cento in dollari, il Dax tedesco circa il 4,5 per cento in euro. Non male, quindi, per fondi quali gli hedge fund che, secondo la vulgata, tramano nell’ombra e colpiscono in giro per il mondo arricchendosi e gettando sul lastrico interi paesi e popolazioni. Locuste confuse, nel complesso.
